Qualifications and endorsements: MA Hons.Cantab. (History/Art History); Registered Blue Badge Tourist Guide for London and South East England; Institute of Tourist Guides (MITG); South East Tourist Guides Association (SEETGA); Windsor Castle site endorsement

I am an experienced Private Tour Guide providing customised tours in London and South East England. As a professionally qualified Blue Badge Tourist Guide I am licensed to guide clients inside Westminster Abbey, the Tower of London, St Paul’s Cathedral and Windsor Castle, in addition to other sites such as Royal Greenwich, The British Museum and The National and other art galleries and museums.

As I mainly work with small private groups, all tours can be customised to suit you. I aim not just to take you to the headline highlights but to show you how to get around and give you ideas for exploring further in your own time.

Apart from walking – which is the best way to see many parts of London – we can take buses, the Underground ‘Tube’, river boats and black taxi cabs. For those with less energy or mobility there is a chauffeured option.

Guided Tours outside London include day trips to Windsor Castle, Canterbury, Dover Castle, Hampton Court Palace, Oxford and Cambridge Universities, Blenheim Palace, Stonehenge, Brighton and Bath.

I also specialise in private day tours outside London to gardens, castles and stately homes including Anne Boleyn’s Hever Castle, Leeds Castle, Winston Churchill’s Chartwell, Great Dixter and Sissinghurst Gardens as well as ‘Off The Beaten Track’ tours of the beautiful countryside of South East England.

Background: My background is in public relations, marketing and project management in the fine art and architecture sectors. I have spent most of my life and brought up my children in London and the South East of England.

I am a fully-insured member of the UK’s Institute of Tourist Guiding, the British Guild of Tourist Guides and the South East England Tourist Guides Association.

  1. Dear Amanda
I was interested in your piece on the LinkedIn site. is an international web site which is devoted entirely to accommodation and leisure venues which are accessible to people with disabilities. We view this web site as a community service obligation and therefore do not charge tourism providers to be part of it. If any of your tours cater for people with disabilities, I would like to take this opportunity of inviting South East Tour Guides to have a panel on this web site. If you wish to take up this invitation could you please send me a digital copy of your logo and a short description of your tours, together with any photographs you would like included on your panel. The photographs should be no smaller than 185 x 185 pixels.

I look forward to hearing from you.

    With kind regards
